The most important consideration in the design of these systems is to have the photovoltaic system yield the same or more of the total amount of energy consumed by the appliancesn connected. Also the battery bank should be adequately enough to store the energy supplied by the PV array and keep this energy to meet the demand during periods of low insolation.
